NotePad App helps you create, format, save, and manage notes. The app may store information locally on your device and may also use Firebase services, including Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Realtime Database, to improve reliability and support cloud-based features. We do not sell your personal information.
Information Collection
The app may store or process the following information:
- Notes you create, including titles, note text, formatting, checklist items, and embedded image references.
- Images you add to notes from your device or camera.
- Reminder details you set for notes, such as reminder date, time, and repeat settings.
- Temporary PDF files created when you choose to share a note as a PDF.
- Crash and diagnostic information collected through Firebase Crashlytics, such as crash logs, device type, OS version, app version, crash time, and technical identifiers.
Use of Information
This information is used to provide the app's note‑taking, formatting, reminder, image, sharing, syncing, database, troubleshooting, and reliability features.
Your notes and related app data may be stored locally on your device using the app's private storage and local database. If Android backup is enabled on your device, Google or your device manufacturer may back up app data according to your device settings and their own privacy policies — we do not control Android system backups.
Used to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app crashes or experiences technical problems, including device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, stack traces, and installation identifiers — used only to improve app stability and investigate bugs.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
NotePad App may use the following third‑party services, provided by Google Firebase:
- Firebase Crashlytics — for crash reporting and diagnostics.
The app may also rely on Android system services — such as notifications, file sharing, backup, and document/image selection — provided by Google, your device manufacturer, or apps installed on your device. These third‑party services process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
When you choose to share a note as a PDF, the app creates a temporary PDF file and opens Android's share sheet. The PDF is shared only with the app or service you select. Once shared outside NotePad App, that third‑party app or service handles it according to its own privacy policy.
Cookies & Tracking
NotePad App is a native Android app and does not use browser cookies. The app may use technical identifiers (such as installation IDs) through Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Realtime Database solely to provide crash diagnostics and database/sync functionality — not for advertising or cross‑app tracking.
- Internet access — to connect to Firebase services.
- Notifications — to show reminders for notes.
- Run at startup — to restore scheduled reminders after a device restart.
- Camera / image picker access — used only when you choose to add an image to a note.
You can manage app permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features, such as reminders, may not work correctly if the related permission is turned off.
Security
We use standard Android local storage protections and Firebase‑provided infrastructure to help protect app data.
User Rights & Data Deletion
You can delete individual notes within the app. Notes are stored locally on your device and are not stored in Firebase Realtime Database or any other cloud database.
You can also remove all locally stored app data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage from Android settings. Doing so will permanently delete notes and other app data stored on the device.
If your device or Android services create backups of app data, those backups may need to be managed or deleted separately through your device or service settings.
NotePad App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
